.:: Programming Guide release + Section Revamp
Posted by: Daxziz on 2006-11-24 00:00:00 01:17:00
I'm very happy to inform you all that the programming section has been revamped and is now following in the steps of the guides section. This means that 4 of the old guides has been moved from guides to programming since their content was.. yes you guessed it... programming related and not meant for the end user. So if you miss these pages.. you know where to find'em now. More importantly than the revamp of programming section and moving of guides is this: I've also added a "new" guide in the programming section. This is the "Discovering OpenStep" but it's the Rhapsody Developer Release. It's a "getting started" with programming guide which slowly and carefully learns you the basic of OpenStep / YellowBox. Following this guide will leave you with quite a few neat programs, so grap this pearl and get started.

It's with great pleasure that I can announce that evolver56k, a member of NeXT Archives forum, has successfully compiled a version which has been a dream for many in the NeXT community to have. We're here talking about the TextEdit application which source we've had for quite some time, but first now has our very skilled member managed to get it to work.

NeXT Archive would like to say a big THANK YOU to evolver56k and we're pleased to announce that his build is already up and ready for download in our software section.

We're this time bringing you a video of the NeXTSTEP Beta with the GUI as the main purpose. It shows you just how easy it was to navigate and work. There's nothing else to say than get your hands on this and enjoy it.
